India continued their dominant run in the Asia Cup 2025 with a solid performance in IND vs OMA, registering a hat-trick of wins after beating Oman by 21 runs in Abu Dhabi. Having already defeated UAE and Pakistan earlier in Group A, the Men in Blue sealed their Super Four spot unbeaten.

Sanju Samson, promoted to No.3, made the most of the chance with a composed 56 off 45 balls. Abhishek Sharma lit up the powerplay with a fiery 38 off just 15 deliveries, while Tilak Varma (29 off 18) and Axar Patel (26 off 13) added quick cameos. India posted 188/8, with Suryakumar himself staying padded up at No.11 as his turn never came.

Oman showed great fight in the chase, with veteran Aamir Kaleem (64) and Hammad Mirza (53*) making impressive half-centuries. However, the asking rate kept climbing, and Oman eventually finished at 167/4, 21 runs short of India’s total.
The highlight of IND vs OMA was Arshdeep Singh’s record-breaking feat. Playing his first game of the tournament, the left-arm quick became the fastest pacer to 100 T20I wickets, reaching the milestone in just 64 matches. He also became the first Indian bowler to achieve this landmark, making the victory even more memorable.
India’s bench strength shone through as the team rotated as many as eight bowlers, maintaining control throughout. With this win, India remain unbeaten and head into the Super Four with confidence and depth, sending a strong message to their rivals.
