IND vs BAN: India Through to Asia Cup Final; Bangladesh Knocked Out

IND vs BAN in the Asia Cup 2025 Super Four clash turned out to be another dominant display from India, as they sealed a spot in Sunday’s final with a comfortable 41-run victory at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday (September 24).

After losing the toss and being sent in to bat, India started strong in IND vs BAN, cruising to 72 without loss in the powerplay. Shubman Gill contributed 29 off 19 before falling to Rishad Hossain. The star of the show, however, was Abhishek Sharma. Continuing his red-hot form, the left-hander hammered a dazzling 75 off just 37 balls. His mix of power and elegance once again underlined why he has become India’s most consistent performer in this format. India eventually posted 168/6 in 20 overs.

Bangladesh, chasing 169, showed some fight in IND vs BAN thanks to Saif Hassan’s gritty 69. But the rest of the batting faltered. Captain Jaker Ali’s run-out by Suryakumar Yadav and Rishad Hossain’s dismissal further derailed the chase. Despite a few dropped chances, India’s bowlers stayed on top. Kuldeep Yadav bagged three wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakravarthy picked up two each, bowling Bangladesh out for 127.

The result of IND vs BAN meant India not only maintained their unbeaten streak in the Asia Cup 2025 but also became the first team to reach the final. With Sri Lanka eliminated, Thursday’s Bangladesh vs Pakistan clash now becomes a virtual semi-final. The winner will meet India in the grand finale on Sunday.
